being stuck forty miles away from your family sucks. now imagine living by a river and them being there and loosing power and phone lines! Nightmare. I miss my family so much i am so excited that the water has receded and i can continue my life at home. My grandparents have been generous letting me bother them in their quiet suburb home....Ahhhhhhh. I miss my life with the dogs, and chickens, and my little rabbit i have had for the past thirteen fourteen years. Isn't it incredible what 10 inches of rain can do?! I love rainy days....but rainy weeks are another story.

ack!  That sucks.  where are you at in the US?  I know of a few places that were getting flooded, but I haven't been keeping up well enough to know where it's all happening!
